Websites for tilers

A website that shows your work room by room, explains the prep people can’t see and makes a free quote easy to ask for. From £39 a month, ordered online.

An example site we built for a wall and floor tiler in North Wales, and what each part is for

The top of the example tiler site on a phone
  1. The trade and phone number along the top of every page.
  2. His name in the headline. People hire a tiler, not a company, so the site says who’s coming.
  3. “Free quotes, proper prep and straight, even lines.” The three things people worry about, answered in one line.
The example tiler site listing what he tiles, on a phone
  1. What he tiles, room by room. People search for “bathroom tiler” or “kitchen splashback”, not just “tiler”.
  2. Each room has its own section on the services page, written out properly so Google knows exactly what he does.
The example tiler site explaining how a tiling job runs, on a phone
  1. The job from quote to clean-up, so people know what to expect before they let you in.
  2. Prep gets its own step. It’s the part customers can’t judge from a photo, so the site explains it.
The captioned gallery on the example tiler site, on a phone
  1. Every photo captioned with the job and the tile, so the gallery reads as proof, not decoration.

What a tiler’s website needs

People choosing a tiler look at the photos first. Then they want to know you’ll do the prep properly and turn up when you say. A good site shows all three.

Photos of your own work, captioned

Bathrooms, splashbacks, floors and showers, each with a line on the tile and the layout. If your best jobs are on Instagram or Facebook, we’ll take them from there.

Your work by room

Bathrooms and showers, kitchens and splashbacks, then floors and hallways. Each written out properly, because that’s how people search.

The prep, explained

Say how you deal with old tiles and uneven walls. Then say how you set out the cuts. That’s what people can’t judge from a photo.

A free quote, made easy

A short form for the room, roughly how big it is and the tiles they like. Or a WhatsApp button if that’s how you take enquiries.

Memberships, if you have them

If you’re a member of The Tile Association, we show it with your membership details.

The towns you cover

A list of towns on every plan. On Standard you also get a page for each of up to 3 towns and on Growth up to 6, which helps you show up in each one.

Reviews, when you have them

Real reviews from Google or Facebook. If you’re just starting out we leave them off until you have some. We never make reviews up.

Memberships and badges worth showing

Tiling has no compulsory register, so customers lean on whatever proof you can give them. A trade body, a vetting scheme and your insurance all help someone trust you with their bathroom.

The Tile Association

The UK trade body for wall and floor tiling, covering contractors, retailers and manufacturers. Membership shows you're connected to the people who set the standards for how tiles should be fixed.

Its site has public Find a Member and Find a Tiler searches. We show the logo with your membership details and link to the directory.

TrustMark

The government endorsed quality scheme for work in and around the home. Registered businesses are vetted and commit to good customer service.

TrustMark has a public Find a Tradesperson search. We put the badge near your quote form and link to it.

Which? Trusted Traders

A directory of traders who have passed an assessment set by its trading standards professionals.

There's a public Find a Trader search. If you're listed, we show the logo and link to your profile.

Public liability insurance

Not a register, but one of the first things a careful customer asks about. A cracked basin or water through a ceiling is what it's there for.

We say plainly that you're insured, with the cover amount if you want it shown.

How people choose a tiler

People rarely search for just “tiler”. They search for the job: a shower re-tile, a kitchen splashback, porcelain floor tiles, a wet room. Then they scroll the photos looking for a room like theirs and a finish they like. Large-format tiles, herringbone floors and walk-in showers each bring their own searches, so if you do them, they get named on the site.

If you also take work from builders, bathroom fitters or showrooms, a short line for them says you're open to it without confusing homeowners.

The photos that sell a tiling job

Take the photo straight on, in daylight, once the grout haze is cleaned off. A close-up of a neat corner or a tidy cut round a pipe tells people more than a wide shot of a whole bathroom.

Tell us the tile, the size and the layout for each one, like “600 by 300 porcelain, brick bond”. We use those details in the captions, because they're the words people type when they've already picked a tile and need someone to fit it.

Quotes without a wasted trip

You can't price most tiling from a phone call. The quote form asks for the room, rough measurements, the tiles they've chosen and whether old tiles need taking off. A WhatsApp button lets them send photos of the room as well. You can decide whether it's worth a visit before you drive out.

Bathrooms and kitchens are usually planned well ahead, so a line saying how far ahead you're booking saves both sides time.

How the costs compare

A tiler's website costs from about £150 a year on a website builder, or £39 to £99 a month from a pay-monthly firm like us. The part that matters most is the gallery of your own finished jobs.

How much does a website cost for a tiler?

What it costs

Same price for every tiler, nothing added on later. Pick a plan to see what's in it.

Rather pay once? £695 for the website (£995 for bigger sites), then £20 a month for hosting, your domain and support.

Questions tilers ask

All questions

My work is mostly on Instagram. Can you use that?

Yes. Send us the link and we’ll pick the best photos. If your best jobs are only in your stories, save them to your phone and upload them in the order form.

I haven’t got any reviews yet. Is that a problem?

No. We leave reviews off until you have some, then add them. We never make reviews up.

Can I add new jobs to the gallery?

Yes. Send us the photos. On Standard and Growth that comes out of your monthly changes. On Starter, a quick update like this counts as your one small change for the month. Anything bigger is £45 an hour.

Do you only build sites for tilers?

No. We build them for tradespeople and local businesses of all kinds. This page is about what a tiler needs.

Can you show my prices?

Yes, if you want to. Some tilers show a price per square metre or a starting price for a splashback. Others prefer to quote every job. We write it whichever way you work.

I mostly work for builders. Is a website still worth it?

It gives builders and fitters somewhere to see your work and check you're insured. We can write it for trade work, for homeowners or for both.

Can I have the site in Welsh too?

Yes. A Welsh version is £150 if you send us the Welsh text. If you need it translating, we arrange that at cost.

Ready when you are. It takes about ten minutes to order.
