Who we are

Your website and domain

Your domain is registered in your name. A standard .co.uk, .uk or .com domain costing up to £20 a year is included. We can't guarantee any particular name will be available. We check before you pay. If it's taken, we'll suggest alternatives and nothing is registered until you've chosen one. If the name you want belongs to someone else, buying it from them is up to you. Premium domains, or any costing more than £20 a year, are charged at cost. We'll always agree that with you first. If you already own a domain, we'll connect it to your site.

The words, photos and logo you send us stay yours. The website we design for you is yours to keep once your minimum term has ended and your account is paid up.

Monthly plans

Monthly plans have a 12-month minimum term from the date your site goes live. After that they continue month to month. You can cancel any time after the minimum term with 30 days' notice.

The setup fee and first month are paid before we start building. Monthly payments are then taken by card or Direct Debit through Stripe.

If a payment is missed

Cards expire and months get tight, so if a payment doesn't go through we'll let you know straight away and give you 7 days to sort it.

If it's still unpaid after that, we may take your website offline until your account is up to date. Nothing is deleted. Your site, files and domain are kept safe. It goes back online as soon as you've paid.

If an account stays unpaid for 60 days, we'll close it. If you're still in your first 12 months, the website stays with us, as it only becomes yours to keep once the minimum term is complete. If you're past your first 12 months, we'll send you your website files so you can host it somewhere else. Either way, your domain is registered in your name and stays yours.

If you're having a tough time, tell us. We'd much rather work something out than switch anything off.

This applies to monthly plans and to the £20 a month hosting on one-off websites.

Leaving

After your first 12 months, if you don't want to carry on, you can take your website with you. Give us 30 days' notice and we'll give you your website files to host elsewhere and help you move your domain. There is no exit fee.

Price changes

We may change our monthly prices once a year, in line with inflation. We'll tell you at least a month before.

Changes to your site

Starter includes one small change a month (up to 15 minutes), such as a new price, phone number, opening hours or photo. Standard includes up to 1 hour of changes a month and Growth up to 2 hours. Unused time doesn't carry over. New pages, redesigns and anything beyond your monthly time are £45 an hour, charged in 15-minute blocks.

One-off websites

One-off websites are paid in full before they go live. Hosting, your domain and support are then £20 a month, which you can cancel with 30 days' notice. If you'd rather host it yourself, we'll hand the site over.

What we won't build

We don't build sites for anything illegal, misleading or hateful. We can turn down any order without giving a reason. If we do, nothing is charged.

Your content

You confirm you have the right to use the photos, logos and words you send us.
